Au cours de la seconde moitié des années 1980, une vague d'artistes alternatifs a commencé à explorer une approche plus douce, un son plus éthéré, apportant une esthétique onirique à l'idiome rock et pop. Prenant son plomb du Royaume-Uni (et du label 4AD en particulier), cette approche raffinée s'est rapidement répandue, en particulier aux États-Unis, prenant lentement le surnom de "dream pop" - un fourre-tout terme plutôt qu'un genre en soi.Organisé par la même équipe que notre ensemble de shoegaze 'Still In A Dream' 2016 à succès, 'Cherry Stars Collide' explore ce son tel qu'il est apparu au milieu des années 80 et a procédé à la définition d'une approche de l'expression musicale moins ancrée et plus réfléchie que celle proposée autre part. Fusion et mélange avec d'autres genres en cours de route. - de la guitare pilotée mouvement shoegaze et proto-Britpop à la génération post "C-86" et à la génération naissante scène de clubbing leftfield - ce son a à la fois attiré des artistes opérant déjà ailleurs et inspiré de nouveaux artistes à entreprendre leur propre voyage.A écouter de préférence dans le noir !Avec Mazzy Star, A.R Kane, Cocteau Twins, Chapterhouse, Bel Canto, Julee Cruise, The Chameleons, Dead Can Dance, Talk Talk, Lush, Low, Spiritualized, This Mortal Coil, Slowdive,
